Lu Wen Xia is widely known as a master of capturing details from daily life and objects and while respecting the Yixing pottery-making traditions, innovated her presentation of classic subjects. In 1992, Lu left the Yixing Pottery Factory and established her own art studio with fellow artist Lu Jianxing, who created pottery and promoted Yixing art to foreign audiences.
